Whole-Brain Child Development Assessment
This assessment is based on well-established early childhood research showing that children’s learning and behaviour are strongly shaped by a set of trainable brain skills called executive function and self-regulation—including working memory, cognitive flexibility, and self-control. According to Dr. Jack P. Shonkoff (M.D.) and colleagues, these skills can be strengthened through structured practice and supportive environments (Harvard Center on the Developing Child: Executive Function & Self-Regulation).
Smartizen’s three pillars reflect these evidence-based skills: Learning Power, Critical Thinking, and Leader Character. Long-term studies of Dr. Terrie E. Moffitt (Ph.D.) confirm that stronger self-control in childhood predicts better life outcomes later, which is why character skills matter beyond school.

This assessment reveals:
- Which foundations are already in place
- Which skills may not yet be transferring into real learning situations
- What kind of support would best accelerate your child’s development at this stage

FOUNDER OF Smartizen early years development ASSESSMENT THAM NGUYEN
I’m Tham, founder of Smartizen, certified right brain educator, and parent.
I work with families during the most critical years of a child’s life — from birth to age six — helping children develop strong thinking skills, memory capacity, and character foundations that lasts a lifetime.
I founded Smartizen to solve a growing problem: parents care deeply about their children’s development, but they’re overwhelmed by conflicting advice, academic pressure, and programs that focus too late or too narrowly. My mission is simple: to help families raise confident, capable, kind and smart children. Changing the world, one heart at a time.
Smartizen has been featured in The Record Newspaper and CBC News for its innovative early learning approach.
I was nominated for Women of The Year 2025 by Rogers in the Education sector.
